Christie Lea Stashyn is a Master Practitioner of Clinical Counselling (Provisional) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA). She holds a Professional Counselling Diploma from Rhodes Wellness College, where she also serves as a Teaching Assistant in the Professional Counselling Program. Christie is also currently completing certification as a NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model) Practitioner which integrates somatic, relational, and attachment-based approaches to support clients healing from complex trauma (C-PTSD), developmental trauma, and relational wounds. Christie’s approach is rooted in authenticity, compassion, and the belief that meaningful change emerges from safe, attuned connection and her work focuses on helping clients reconnect with their true selves, restore internal safety, and cultivate emotional resilience.
Before entering the counselling field, Christie spent nearly two decades working in emergency services as a 911 Operator, Police Dispatcher, and Operational Communications Training Coordinator with the Surrey RCMP. This background gives her a deep understanding of stress, crisis, and nervous system dysregulation, as well as the unique challenges faced by first responders and their families.
Christie has a particular passion for working with people in transition, helping to navigate divorce, identity shifts, burnout, and empowerment after adversity. She offers a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their patterns, deepen self-understanding, and move toward authentic, empowered living.
